We grow some of the best coffee in the world on our farm in Atenas, Costa Rica.
Finca Coyol sits above 1350 meters designating our coffee as high altitude grown. This, in addition to our volcanic mineral rich soil, perfect southern exposure, our Honey Cure process, and what is universally considered one of the best living and coffee growing climates on the planet gives us the ability to grow some of the best fair traded, single farm sourced, hard Arabica bean available. We’ve already started our transition to a future organic farming certification and away from the monoculture agricultural practices commonly found throughout many coffee producing regions of the world which have been so detrimental to our environment. We’ve planted a wide array of tropical fruit trees in addition to vanilla bean orchids. We also just received permission to import our hemp seeds into Costa Rica which will enable us to yet again utilize the curative powers of the Cannabis Sativa plant to clean the agrochemicals and fertilizers commonly used throughout the coffee industry from our soil.
Our coffee is currently offered as a whole bean full city roast. We feel that this scale of “medium +” roasting provides a well-balanced mixture of flavor between the individual origin of our coffee and the taste of the roasting process. The whole bean presentation provides a much longer shelf life over ground coffee.
